10 Biggest Disney World Controversies Over the Years

1. Removing Mickey’s Hat

Hollywood Studios has arguably struggled when it comes having an appropriate icon. In the park’s beginning, the Earful Tower was used as an insignia. Later in 2001 the large Sorcer’s Hat was give center stage for the 100th birthday celebration of Walt Disney. Some fans immediately hated it, saying that the large hat blocked the view of the Chinese Theater. As time went on though, the Hat gained it’s own loyal fans and eventually became a new icon for Hollywood Studios park. As you can imagine, new controversy arose yet again when the Hat was removed last year.
