Leadership

Kurt Schmidt – Owner & CEO Kurt leads Disney Fanatic with a simple vision: to keep the “Fan” in “Media.” He ensures that our platform remains an independent voice for the community, free from corporate spin.

Fandom: 90s Disney Animation Renaissance.

Jennifer Schmidt – CFO & Co-Owner Jennifer oversees the business operations that keep our community growing. She is dedicated to maintaining a safe, sustainable space for fans to connect.

Fandom: Disney Cruise Line & Castaway Cay.

Andrew Boardwine – Senior Reporter Andrew isn't just a reporter; he's a thrill-seeker. He covers the high-octane side of the parks, from the newest Marvel coasters to the Star Wars expansions.

Jess Colopy – Lifestyle & Culture A former Disney College Program participant, Jess brings the insider perspective. She writes for the fans who want to know what it's really like to work for the Mouse.

Rick Lye – News & Park Development Rick is an avid, lifelong Disney fan who has been hooked since his first visit to Walt Disney World with his parents in 1986. He closely tracks major theme park construction, massive ride overhauls, and evolving Imagineering technology across the parks, all while raising his two children to be the next generation of Disney fans.
