When many think of Walt Disney World, their minds automatically travel to the attractions, shows, rides, characters, and the resorts. Many guests often forget that there are some amazing, unforgettable, and exclusive dining options in the parks, the resorts, and at Disney Springs. Here are some of our favorite Disney dining experiences that everyone should have the opportunity to try at least once!
1. Coral Reef Restaurant
If seafood is your thing, definitely make a plan to visit the Coral Reef Restaurant located in the Seas pavilion in Epcot! Aside from the delicious seafood dishes and classy, yet casual ambiance, you feel like you’re actually dining underwater because of the massive tank that holds over 85 species of fish and over 4,000 sea creatures! Be sure to ask your waiter if they know any facts about any of the sea life in the tank, or about the tank itself, which can fill over 54 Olympic-sized swimming pools! On some occasions, you can even see scuba divers making their way through the tank. Definitely make a reservation and check out this table service restaurant on your upcoming Epcot visit.
2. Garden Grill
It’s always reassuring to know where the food you eat comes from, but what would you think if the food you tried was from a large greenhouse in Epcot? In the Land pavilion, you’ll find Garden Grill and the Living with the Land ride, where you can see all of the food Garden Grill chefs use to prepare meals! What makes this restaurant extra unique is that it actually rotates, giving you unique views of Living with the Land. If you want to enjoy fresh, buffet-style food, a character interaction or two, and learn about your food along the way, give this restaurant a visit!
3. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater
Love old sci-fi movies, drive-in movie theaters, tasty American-style food, and a 1950’s vibe? The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios could be the place for you and your family! This unique indoor table-service restaurant makes you feel like you are outside at the drive-in theater on a beautiful summer night! Guests have the chance to sit in booths shaped like cars while clips from black and white sci-fi movies play on the big screen. There’s even a concession stand and picnic tables toward the back of the restaurant to really set the scene! Enjoy burgers and fries, salads, wraps, and milkshakes and sundaes for dessert! You may want to make a reservation because this spot can get pretty crowded, especially during busy months!
4. Sanaa
If beautiful, panoramic views and unique foods are your thing, don’t pass up Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge! This restaurant features gorgeous views of zebras, ostriches, giraffes, gazelles, and birds wandering around the savanna on the property, a beautiful indoor atmosphere, and food that is to die for. If you’ve never had the chance to try African dishes, this is your spot! The many unique menu options are sure to please any palate, and give you an even more unique Walt Disney World vacation experience!
