6. Late Opening of World Showcase

Many people don’t realize that, while typical rope-drop at EPCOT is at 9:00, the World Showcase area doesn’t open until 10:00. This means that you cannot start at the back of the park, which is one of my favorite strategies for avoiding crowds. I also enjoy making EPCOT a two-day experience, one in Futureworld and one in World Showcase, since thematically they really are two different parks. But the late opening of World Showcase means that you can’t start your day until 10:00.

I should note that, due to the extreme popularity of “Frozen Ever After,” the Norway pavilion and adjacent Mexico pavilion are currently opening at 9:00. However, there is no indication if this will continue after the initial popularity of “Frozen” dies down.
