10 Essential Steps to Planning Your Disney World Vacation

8. Determine transportation

Are you driving or flying to Florida? This probably depends on where you live. Flights can be expensive unless you live close to an airport with a direct flight to Orlando. If you want to take advantage of Magical Express, Disney’s complimentary airport shuttle for their guests staying at on-property resorts, you will have to fly into Orlando International. If you intend to rent a car once you arrive or will be staying off property, you might research other smaller airports in the area. Driving is a more frugal option for many families, especially if you enjoy road trips or want to do some other things on the way there or back. It’s worth noting that Disney does now charge a parking fee per night at their on property resorts.
