7. The Enchanted Tiki Room

“In the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, tike room…” It’s the song that has been stuck in my head since I first visited Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room when I was four years old.  I remember being in utter awe at watching a crowd of tropical birds sing. That fascination still took hold of me when I recently visited Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room this past summer – twenty three years later, listening to the same birds, singing the exact same song, in the exact same tempo. Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room has lost its enchantment over the years. It’s an experience that’s just remained stagnant and it’s become a place where, sadly, a lot of guests go just to get off their feet and relax for a little while. The concept is fantastic but it could benefit from developing a new theme to entertain guests.
