Planning your next trip to Walt Disney World already? While you’re covering the basics of where to stay and what to do, be sure to check out our picks for those extra details you may not know for your visit to Walt Disney World:
10. You should plan and book early
A Walt Disney World vacation requires a lot of planning because there are so many small details that need to be worked out for your trip to run smoothly. Especially for a first-time visit, planning upwards of a year in advance can help you save some stress from planning at the last minute. In addition to planning well in advance, you’ll actually want to book well in advance too as hotels, restaurants, and FastPass reservations do fill up.
9. You don’t need to provide your own transportation
Assuming you decide to stay at a Disney resort, you do not need to worry about transportation for your entire trip (unless you plan on visiting other Orlando attractions outside of Walt Disney World). Disney’s complimentary Magical Express service can pick you up from the airport and bring you to your hotel, and from there Disney provides buses, boats, Skyliner gondolas and monorails to get you from your resort to the theme parks. (transportation options vary depending on where you stay)
8. There are a lot of up-charges, and you should be selective when purchasing them
Most if not all Disney up-charges, whether it be Memory Maker, the Disney Dining Plan, dessert parties, or any others, are useful for some guests. While they work great for some guests, they are not a good value for everyone, so you should do your research and pick and choose which of these services would work best for you before purchasing them.
