While Disney does offer many tours for an extra fee, there are a few tours anyone can participate in for free.  At the Wilderness Lodge guests can learn about the history, art, and architecture of the resort.  Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge also offers several tours.  One of them features cultural representatives from other countries who teach others about the hotel’s African-inspired architecture and artifacts.  Another tour at Animal Kingdom Lodge is the Culinary Tour.  On this tour, cast members share information on the types of dishes served in the hotel’s restaurants, and guests are given an opportunity to sample a few of the dishes served there.  Be sure to check with cast members to be certain of start times and meeting locations.
