7. Book transportation and Magical Express
Once you’ve picked dates and booked a place to stay, then you’ll be able to sort out your transportation options. If you are planning to fly in to Orlando, you will want to book flights pretty soon after booking a resort. This will allow you to sign up for Disney’s Magical Express if you are staying on-property. This fun service allows you to check your luggage in, and never think about it again. There will be a shuttle bus waiting on you at the airport and they will pick up your checked luggage & bring it straight to your resort room. It is the most relaxing way to start a vacation, for sure. To book Magical Express, you will need your flight information, and if you are using an authorized Disney vacation planner, they can help you sign up for this complimentary service.
6. Make dining reservations
Dining reservations can be made at 180 days prior to the date you are trying to reserve. You do not have to have a current Disney resort reservation in order to make dining reservations, so even if you’re staying off property or only going for the day, you can still make a reservation at 180 days prior to the day of your reservation. This is a BIG date that needs to be circled on your calendar! Some of the most popular places (character dining, Be Our Guest restaurant) are very difficult to book even at 180 days out. Start with the reservation that is the most important to you, and work your way out for each day of your trip.
