Katie Chapman

15. (Once in a Lifetime Experience) Throw A Disney Wedding.

Most Disney guests have seen the gorgeous Disney Wedding Pavilion aside the Grand Floridian on a monorail tour of Walt Disney World.  What better way to splurge at Walt Disney World than to have your wedding at Disney?  Stress free, gorgeous, Disney magic clad wedding packages start at around twenty-five hundred dollars.

14. (Once in a Lifetime Experience) Rent Out an Attraction to Celebrate an Event.

Did you know you can rent out some attractions and park areas for special events?  A small party outside Tower of Terror, a wedding reception in The Great Movie Ride or a company dessert party in World Showcase are all possibilities that the Disney events team can coordinate for parties looking to wow guests.

13. (Once in a Lifetime Experience) Hold a Last Fling Before the Ring Bachelorette Party Around World Showcase.

The bachelorette party groups touring Walt Disney World in matching outfits always seem like such fun.  If you are in charge of coordinating an incredible last fling before the ring for your favorite bride, why not add some pixie dust to the picture and splurge for a bachelorette trip to Walt Disney World?  Touring classic Disney attractions, sipping your way around the word at Epcot, indulging in a spa day and world class dining are all great ways to celebrate an upcoming wedding.

12. (Once in a Lifetime Experience) Get Engaged at Walt Disney World.

Getting engaged at Walt Disney World is a great Disney splurge.  In addition to the new bling newly engaged couples may want to buy matching ears shirts and souvenirs commemorating the experience.  Of course a delicious celebration dinner at a romantic Disney restaurant will be a must do after the proposal.

11. Take a Backstage Tour.

There are several tour options for Disney junkies looking to learn even more about the happiest place on earth and spend a bit more on their vacation.  Tour length and price ranges quite a bit from smaller attraction tours like Living with the Land’s “Behind the Seeds Tour” to Animal Kingdom’s “Wild Africa Trek”, “Night Safari” or the classic “Keys to the Kingdom Tour”.

10. Dine at Victoria and Albert’s.

Often considered the finest dining experience on the Disney property, Victoria and Albert’s has received the AAA Five Diamond Award since 2000.  The Victorian elegance of the restaurant is unmatched.  Foodies will find this meal worth the splurge.  Meals start at over sixty dollars per adult making this a once in a lifetime splurge for most families.

9. Treat Yourself to a Spa Day.

You may not think about Walt Disney World being the perfect place to unwind.  However, the serene Disney spas on the property make relaxation a possibility for all guests.  Massages, facials, hair and nail care are just a few of the services offered at Disney spas.  Animal Kingdom Lodge, The Grand Floridian, Yacht & Beach Club, The Contemporary, Saratoga Springs, The Wilderness Lodge, Coronado Springs and The Dolphin all offer different massage and spa packages for guests.

8. Shop Until Your Heart Is Content.

Walt Disney World has always been a shopper’s dream; with the addition of Disney Springs earlier this year that is truer now than ever before. Indulging in all the shopping in parks, resorts and Disney Springs are great ways to splurge on your next Disney vacation.  Picking up fun character merchandise is great but with the addition of shops like Columbia Sportswear, Kate Spade, Lilly Pulitzer and Curl everyone in your group is likely to find a few must buy items.

7. Dine Hard.

Disney food is incredible.  From short order and snacks to fine dining, you will never go hungry at Walt Disney World.  Booking an array of table service dining experiences is my favorite way to splurge on vacation.

6. Stay at A Deluxe Resort.

Deluxe resorts truly provide an extra luxurious vacation experience.  Springing for a few nights at a deluxe resort is a great way to splurge at Walt Disney World.  Overlooking the giraffes on the savanna of Animal Kingdom Lodge, or watching the monorail lop through your hotel during a stay at The Contemporary is so much fun.

5. Have Your Resort Room Decorated.

Disney floral and gifts can create special in-room celebrations for guests right at the Disney resort.  Banners and stuffed animals, floral arrangements, cookie trays and seasonal themed celebrations are all available for guests looking to be surprised and pampered at check in.

4. Celebrate at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a fun ticketed event for guests after normal park hours end.  Guests get to celebrate with characters clad in holiday dress, watch a holiday parade, and enjoy hot cocoa and cookies. Tickets start at eighty-six dollars per guest.

3. Visit in Fall for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.

Similarly, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a fun way for guests visiting in the fall to splurge. Guests of all ages Trick or Treat cast members at attractions around the park, watch a spooky holiday parade, party with the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus and meet hard to find Disney characters.  Tickets start at seventy-two dollars per guest.

2. (Once in a Lifetime Experience) Join The Disney Vacation Club.

Most Disney veterans have likely heard about the Disney Vacation Club or seen the DVC information booths scattered across the property and parks.  Joining DVC grants guests access to Disney resort rooms, members only events and other perks.  Dropping by a DVC booth to learn more about the details, pricing and perks of the vacation club may be a good idea.  You may make the decision to splurge and join the Disney Vacation Club!

Take A Long Disney Vacation.
Splurging for more days in the middle of the magic is a great idea.  In fact, ticket prices decrease a bit for each additional park day you add to the vacation package.  Indulge in a little more magic and make even more memories on your next vacation.
