Also located within The Land Pavilion you will find another attraction considered by many to be one of Disney’s greatest rides of all time—Soarin’. The attraction debuted many years ago as Soarin’ Over California, first in Disneyland and then eventually making its way to Walt Disney World. And recent upgrades to the attraction now make for a brand new riding experience with Soarin’ Around the World. Here guests are seated in various rows and then lifted up into the air by a mechanical lift system, where they will dangle, swoop, and “soar” in front of a life-like 4K film on an all-encompassing 80-foot concave OMIMAX laser screen spanning 180 degrees. The film takes you on a journey passing over some of the most majestic natural wonders and manmade marvels across the globe. Simulation effects, including wind and smells, help to enhance the experience even more.
