16. Pirates of the Caribbean was almost the ride that wasn’t. Imagineers thought the attraction wouldn’t be popular in Florida, but guest loved the Disneyland ride so much that they demanded the ride be added to Disney World.
17. Walt Disney actually wanted real animals for the Jungle Cruise. It wasn’t until late in development that he realized the animals wouldn’t perform on queue that they decided to go with the automatronic animals.
18. Disney and all the imagineers really do put so much thought behind everything in the parks. The Walt Disney World Resorts are full of skillfully placed items, from the number of windows in the shops to the color of the pavement, it is all part of the magic.
