4 Frozen Fun events at Disneyland

I am very excited to say that Disneyland has just opened a Frozen themed section in Hollywood Land in California Adventure from now until May 2015. Excited because I was afraid all of the “cool” Frozen activities were only going to be in Disney World and I didn’t want to miss out on singing a-long to “Let it Go” with 100’s of other Elsa wanna-be’s. This new section of Hollywood Land is temporarily taking over Muppets Vision 3D, Stage 17, Downtown Disney and Animation Academy. As of right now, it will stay until May 15th, but could be extended depending on the popularity. Here is some of the fun you can have with your Frozen fan on your next visit to the Disneyland Resort.

4. For the First Time in Forever – Frozen Sing-a-long – This is a fun chance to belt out your favorite Frozen songs with some of the characters from the movie. It is in the old Muppet Vision 3D theater, now called the Crown Jewel Theater, and has multiple show times throughout the day. The storytellers from Arendelle are on hand to tell the story of Frozen and help introduce each song. This is sure to be a hit with any Frozen fan, and don’t worry if you don’t know they words, there is help for that.

3. Olaf’s Snow Fest – Snow in southern California isn’t easy to come by, so leave it to Disney to make that magic happen. In Stage 17 (next door to the Crown Jewel Theater) you will find a snow adventure for the whole family. Meeting everyone’s favorite snowman is only half the fun waiting for you here. They have covered everything in snow and made a winter wonderland with places to sled, slide and even build a snowman, or whatever else you want to build out of snow. Make sure not to miss your chance to meet and get a picture with Olaf on your way out.

2. Freeze the Night – family dance party – This very fun dance party will have everyone in your family tapping their toes. It is in the open area right next to Olaf’s Snow Fest and if you get lost, just listen for the DJ and the music. Just to clear up one thing about this dance party, they play all kinds of music…not just Disney music. There was something for everyone in our family and there is also games and ice sculptures too. Don’t forget to stop by for a treat and some great photo ops and merchandise as well.

1. Anna and Elsa’s Royal Welcome – Disneyland has given Anna and Elsa a new home next to all the events of Frozen Fun inside the Animation Academy. This is a very popular event and so you can get a virtual ticket that will give you a time to return to have your own one on one time with the two sisters. These tickets are handed out right outside this building and they do go fast. If you need something to do while you wait, go and learn to draw a snowman. They offer several different chances to learn to draw Olaf like a pro.

There is also Olaf’s Frozen Ice Rink in Downtown Disney that will be open until the end of February. Skates are available for rent and I think you will find the weather perfect for some outdoor skating fun. Also take a ride on the new Storybook Land canal boats and see the new town of Arendelle that has been added.
I am so glad Disneyland was able to give us some of the Frozen fantasy that Disney World has and that it will stick around a little longer than winter. Now is a great time to visit Disneyland since the off-season has started and the crowds won’t be too crazy, so make sure to have some Frozen fun with your family.
