5 Things to Consider When Choosing Which Disney Resort to Stay At

3. Transportation

You may be wondering why this has made the list, but it’s actually a pretty big selling point! Yes—all of the resorts provide free bus transportation to and from the parks and Disney Springs, but there are other modes of transportation on Disney property that you may not know about! One of them is the monorail, which takes you to Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Epcot. If you want to be able to head to Epcot in a flash, staying at one of the three aforementioned resorts is your best bet. There are also boats that will take you to Magic Kingdom from some of the surrounding resorts, including Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Lodge. Another mode of transportation is the friendship boat, which services Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Swan and Dolphin resort and Disney’s Boardwalk, which has a few resorts. While the bus is always a viable option, staying somewhere that has a different mode of transportation as well gives you something new to try!
