4. Break Up Large Parties

Depending on the size of your family, you may want to consider breaking up larger parties to try and get smaller tables.  Rather than a party of eight, you may want to see if you can find two tables of four.  Generally, you’ll be able to find that with reservations times either identical or close to one another.  You can also let the host or hostess know you are with another party and they will attempt to either combine the tables or sit you close to one another.
