You’ve booked your trip- the dates are set, the travel arrangements have been made, and the resort is reserved.  Now it’s time to get into the fun of tackling the smaller details- both before and during your trip. Here’s an assortment of tips that I’ve found useful over my many Disney trips that are likely to apply to most families.  Â
7. Â Reserve Dining & Fast Passes
Are you asking yourself, “Do I really need to get FastPasses and dining reservations?”   The answer is “Yes!” Take advantage of both advanced dining reservations (ADRs) and FastPass+!  While the timeframes may seem excessive to newer travellers, they are truly beneficial and should only enhance your trip.  Knowing where you want to eat in 6 months is an impossibility for some, but if you want to score an in- demand reservation, be sure to reserve it as early as possible.  You can always modify your reservations up to a day before your time slot.
The same thing goes for FastPasses.    Being a Disney Fanatic, I know that in 60 days I want to be seated in a swinging car on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train- but you may not. Bear with us though; scheduling a few FastPasses means 2 things that even non-planners can get behind!  First, you are guaranteeing yourself a low-wait ride on at least 3 attractions that your family wants to get on. What’s better than that? Second, the time you save not waiting in line gives you more time to do whatever you want- spontaneously- at other times. Â
