6. Character Dining Experiences

Character dining experiences can be a worthwhile experience because guests are allowed to interact with their favorite characters in a unique setting while they are enjoying a delicious meal.  In addition to being very popular, the character dining experiences tend to be very expensive depending on what characters are appearing.  All character dining experiences take place in restaurants where the food is either served buffet or family-style, so guests have their fill of food.  We aren’t cautioning guests against doing a character dining experience, but do caution against doing too many of them since they can quickly eat into your vacation budget – both in terms of money, but also time!

5. Utilize Mobile Order

In the last few years, Disney has been introducing the ability for guests to use the mobile order function to make meal time a little less stressful.  We have had the opportunity to use it and it is great!  All guests need to do is make selections of what they would like from participating restaurants through their My Disney Experience app. Guests can do this in the morning while taking the bus to the park.  No money is charged to your linked credit card until you arrive at the restaurant and check-in that you are there.  You will then receive a notification once your food is ready and the app will tell you where you can pick it up.  You’ll avoid the stress of a line and be able to grab a seat without having to juggle trays of food and drinks.
