Whether it’s your first trip or 100th trip to Walt Disney World, you’re bound to have some questions. While doing research ahead of time helps, sometimes there are things you simply can’t find a concrete answer for. On the flip side, it’s nice to learn about fellow disnerds and what their favorite things to do in the parks are, especially if you’re looking to switch up your usual routine. Luckily, the parks are staffed with certified Disney experts who are ready, and happy, to answer your questions. Here are eight things you should ask Cast Members during your trip:
1. Why did they start working at Disney
One of the best ways to get to know the people who are making the magic is to simply ask them what made them want to work at Disney! It’s fun to hear the different stories from Cast Members, especially since no two stories are the same. One might have started on the Disney College Program and the other moved to Florida after college on a whim to pursue their dream of working for the company. You never know, and there’s no harm in striking up a casual conversation!
2. How to get from park-to-park
You might think this is common knowledge, but there are a few different forms of transportation that can be used to get to the parks. For example, you can take a bus from Magic Kingdom to Epcot, or you could take the monorail. If you’re looking to go from Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Epcot, you can walk, take the bus, or hop on board the Friendship Boat. And now that the Minnie Van is a service offered resort wide, the possibilities are endless--and the cast members will be able to share all of that information with you.
3. When are the shows/parades
If you’re uncertain about when a parade or show starts, and forgot to snag a times guide on your way into the park, a Cast Member can easily answer that question for you. They are equipped with tools to answer such questions and will sometimes give you tips about where to watch from and when to get a spot.
