Contrary to popular belief (or just the belief of WDW novices), there is much more to this vacation destination than meets the eye. All of the Disney Parks came into being because when Walt Disney took his children to local amusement parks, he was … unimpressed. He looked beyond its outward cheer and couldn’t help but be bothered by the peeling paint, unfriendly staff, and attractions that were only appropriate for tiny children. Inspired, he sought to create an amusement park that would be free of a cheap, travelling-carnival vibe. And he did. Walt’s dream manifested itself in Disneyland, and was also responsible for creating Walt Disney World and many international parks.
