How To Make The Most Of Disney Parks When It Rains

Rain, rain, go away! Rain can put a real damper on your day, especially if you were looking forward to a fun-filled time at one of the amazing Walt Disney World theme parks. Fortunately, rain doesn’t have to mean sitting in your resort room waiting for it to stop or walking around the parks wet and miserable. There are plenty of ways to make the most out of a rainy day at the parks, and here are some of our favorites!

9. Dress Accordingly

If rain is on the forecast, you will want to be prepared before heading to the parks. Bring a poncho or umbrella to keep yourself dry during the day. As for clothing, make sure to wear water-resistant, comfortable shoes, and always remember to pack an extra pair of socks just in case. For cooler months, bring a sweatshirt or long pants to keep you both warm and dry. The better prepared you are, the less cranky you will be when it rains!

8. Have a Long Lunch or Dinner

If it happens to be raining during your lunch or dinner reservation, why not make the most out of your time there and stay a while? Order an appetizer and/or dessert, relax, spend time chatting with your loved ones, and plan out the rest of your day using your park map or My Disney Experience map.
