Princess Fairytale Hall in the Magic Kingdom Has Reopened for Character Sightings

We are seeing more signs of normalcy around the Magic Kingdom as another character experience has opened back up. Earlier today we shared the details of the Mickey character sighting in Town Square Theater on Main Street U.S.A. which soft opened to Guests visiting the park in a modified format, and now we have some new details for character experiences at Princess Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland.

Originally slated to open in November, today’s soft opening also allows for Guests to see Princess Tiana, Elena of Avalor, Cinderella and Rapunzel in Princess Fairytale Hall. Like the Mickey Mouse character location on Main Street and other character spots around the Walt Disney World Resort, it should be noted that interactions with the princesses at Fairytale Hall are now called character “sightings” as opposed to meet and greets to imply distancing.

Each of the princesses are now available to greet Guests individually, however PhotoPass Cast Members are not available and Guests must remain masked. Walt Disney World requires masks to be worn in any indoor public areas, which includes character sightings. Additionally Guests are not able to hug characters (they are separated by a rope) and autographs are not available.

Disney has not “officially” opened this character sighting location yet, so if you are checking the My Disney Experience app or their official website today, you may not see set times for the princesses in Fairytale Hall. If you are planning your visit in the future however, we always recommend confirming times and availability in advance or during your visit (the new tip board on Disney Genie within the My Disney Experience app can be helpful for this!)

Princesses may also still be spotted in character cavalcades around the park (when they are not greeting Guests inside Fairytale Hall, of course) however for the most personalized experiences with the four princesses, heading over to Princess Fairytale Hall will be your best bet.
