Watching a breathtaking nighttime spectacular is one of the most magical experiences at any Disney theme park. Whether Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom, Luminous The Symphony of Us at EPCOT, or the profoundly emotional Wondrous Journeys at Disneyland Resort, these fireworks shows are designed to inspire, delight, and even move guests to tears.
At Disneyland Park, visitors have several fantastic viewing spots for these stunning fireworks displays, including Main Street, U.S.A., the Rivers of America, and the “it’s a small world” area. However, one of the least crowded locations to catch any fireworks show is in a Galaxy Far, Far Away… in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Until the spring of 2024, though, there was one major drawback: the lack of accompanying music.

Disneyland Park pumps the fireworks soundtrack into several lands where the show is visible, from Fantasyland to Frontierland. However, to protect the immersion of the Star Wars land, the Southern California Disney park never played nighttime spectacular music in Batuu. That all changed in 2024.
Fireworks Music in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park
For years, guests watching Disneyland Park fireworks from Galaxy’s Edge have been met with an eerie silence. The powerful booms of the fireworks reverberate through the area, but without music, it’s hard to connect with the show.
Finally, that has changed.

Beginning March 28, 2024, Disneyland Resort introduced a synchronized soundtrack to the fireworks viewed from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge as part of the Season of the Force celebration. This limited-time addition initially ran through May 11, 2024, but now plays regularly at Disneyland Park.
“Fire of the Rising Moons” – A Star Wars-Themed Fireworks Experience
On most nights when fireworks are presented, guests in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will experience “Fire of the Rising Moons”—a unique fireworks presentation set to a special score by John Williams. This means Lucasfilm fans can watch the fireworks in Batuu without feeling out of place in a Galaxy Far, Far Away.
Fireworks Viewing at Disneyland: What to Know

Unlike at Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort’s fireworks are not presented every night. Typically, shows run on weekends, but during peak seasons, such as summer, they occur nightly, weather permitting.
Guests planning to experience “Fire of the Rising Moons” in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge should remember that the special music will only be played on nights when fireworks are scheduled. If you want to enjoy this unique, Star Wars-themed experience, check the Disneyland Resort entertainment schedule in advance.
