A fan-favorite Walt Disney World location has quietly removed a popular alcohol option from the menu.
The food and beverage options at Walt Disney World Resort are almost as popular as the attractions themselves. Most guests will have a long list of snacks and drinks to try while vacationing at the Central Florida parks, or any Disney park for that matter, as each location carries a unique range of items.
At Disney World, one of the most popular adult-centric activities is the unendorsed drink around the World experience over at EPCOT. Surrounding World Showcase Lagoon at this beloved theme park is a series of countries, or pavilions, where guests can experience the culture of that country. Want fish and chips and Cadbury chocolate? Head to the United Kingdom. Wine and pastries? Head over to France.
Guests who want to drink around the World can start in Mexico or Canada and work their way around the lagoon, trying a drink from each pavilion. It's a popular activity, but certainly not for everyone. Across Disney World property, table service restaurants offer alcohol with meals, and bars can be found in most resort hotels. There are also signature drinking experiences, like Oga's Cantina inside Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
For one popular location, Disney World just quietly removed a fan-favorite alcohol offering.

Disney's Contemporary Resort is home to the Steakhouse 71 restaurant. Offering breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner options, Steakhouse 71 ranges from $15 through $59.99 per person.
“Choose from dishes inspired by some of Walt’s favorites, including The Steakhouse 71 Feast or Walt’s Prime Rib Hash for breakfast and French Onion Soup, Prime Rib, 6-oz Filet Mignon or Dry-aged Bone-In Pork Chop for lunch or dinner,” states the official Walt Disney World website. “Classic cocktails and a portfolio of Disney family wines are also available.”
While cocktails are still offered at Steakhouse 71, the fan-favorite bottomless mimosa item is no longer available–Disney has quietly removed the alcohol option from the menu. Judging by guests visiting the restaurant earlier in March 2024, the bottomless mimosas were removed a couple of weeks ago. There is no clear reason as to why Steakhouse 71 no longer offers the beverages. It could be a move to curb bad behavior at the parks, or it could be part of a wider budget cut.
It's no secret that Disney World is getting more expensive, with a recent ticket increase upping prices between $5-$10 per person per day. It would be unsurprising for Disney to have removed the bottomless mimosa option to satisfy the bottom line.

Another under-the-radar change is the operational hours of a key Fantasyland location in Magic Kingdom Park. Be Our Guest will soon lose an hour for the brunch/lunch sitting and will open at 11 a.m. instead of 10 a.m. This change will come into effect on April 7, 2o24.
