Disney World Monorail Goes Barefoot Friendly, Infuriates Fans

A Walt Disney World Resort guest sparked outrage on social media after a video surfaced showing them propping their bare foot on a communal pole inside a Monorail car. The behavior, deemed unsanitary and inconsiderate by many, has fans jokingly labeling the Monorail as “barefoot friendly” and ignited debates about etiquette on Disney's iconic transportation system.

The incident was captured in a TikTok video by user @cats.castles.crafts, who shared their frustration about wanting to “sit back and relax” on the Monorail only to witness another guest place their bare foot on a pole meant for standing passengers to hold onto. Disney Parks fans were quick to express their disgust.

“Terrible. People have lost their minds. It's like there's no rules or common sense anymore,” commented u/Sad_Pumpkin7728.

“Nope. Hard no,” u/Zestyclose_Big_9090 added. “…The amount of people that think they can put their dirty bare feet on anything is out of control.”

Other fans took the opportunity to criticize the Monorail system in general, calling it one of the less appealing aspects of a Disney vacation.

“They already smell like feet, its too late,” u/ExtraMustardGames wrote.

“We were there this weekend, and all I could smell was pee on the Monorail,” said u/MommyIsBionic. “It was so strong… I thought it was maybe an accident, but no. The ride back was just as pungent, and it was a different Monorail.”
