From the earliest days of EPCOT, innovation and imagination have powered the guest experience—and now, those themes take the spotlight once more as Test Track 3.0 officially opens to the public. The attraction debuted its reimagined version on July 22, 2025, ushering in a high-octane journey rooted in nostalgia and propelled by tomorrow’s technology.
Presented by General Motors, this refreshed iteration honors the spirit of World of Motion, the original attraction that once occupied the same space. While new visuals and effects enhance the ride, it's the clever blending of EPCOT's past and present that gives this version its soul. Guests now embark on a sleek, high-speed adventure that’s equal parts homage and innovation.

Eager fans were treated to sneak peeks ahead of the official launch. Annual Passholder previews took place July 13–16 and again on July 18 and 19. Guests were able to join the virtual queue in the My Disney Experience app, with access windows at 7:00 a.m. (with a park reservation) and 1:00 p.m. (without one). Early demand was off the charts—on July 13, the virtual queue filled in just three seconds, highlighting how much anticipation surrounded this reimagined EPCOT classic.
As the preview period unfolded, operations evolved. By July 18, guests began noticing that cast members were allowing Passholders direct entry at the attraction entrance after verifying credentials, creating more flexibility during the final days of the preview.

Before the grand opening, lucky parkgoers also got a surprise opportunity: soft openings were quietly offered on July 20 and 21, allowing all guests to enter via the standby line and experience the updated attraction ahead of schedule.
On opening day, enthusiasm soared. Just 15 minutes after EPCOT opened on July 22, the standby line had reached 150 minutes, with guests lining up well into World Discovery and past the Creations Shop, according to reports from WDWMagic. The excitement marked one of the biggest attraction launches at Walt Disney World Resort this year.

Test Track’s relaunch also comes with a shift in the park’s Lightning Lane Multi Pass system. As of now, the attraction has taken over the top-tier slot previously held by Soarin’ Around the World. Guests can experience Test Track through standby or by selecting it as one of their three Lightning Lane Multi Pass experiences.
Here’s how EPCOT’s current Lightning Lane tiers are structured:
Choose one experience from this group:
Frozen Ever After
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Test Track

Choose your other 2—or all 3—from this group:
Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival
Journey into Imagination with Figment
Living with the Land
Mission: SPACE
The Seas with Nemo & Friends
Soarin’ Around the World
Spaceship Earth
Turtle Talk with Crush

Test Track returned to the lineup following its temporary closure on June 17, 2024, rejoining the roster of EPCOT favorites just in time for summer.
And the fun doesn’t stop there! Over at Magic Kingdom Park, guests were also treated to something new: the spectacular Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away Parade, which officially debuted on July 20 following two nights of previews. Now glowing through the park at 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. nightly, this new offering is adding even more enchantment to summer evenings at Walt Disney World Resort.

Whether you're reliving fond memories or experiencing it for the first time, the new Test Track promises an exhilarating journey through progress and imagination.
