Sometimes the best Disney days don’t involve rushing between attractions. At Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, you can slow down and still find more than enough magic to fill a whole day.

With horseback riding, campfires, dinner shows, and plenty of outdoor fun, here’s how to enjoy a full day of relaxation and adventure at this rustic hideaway.

8:00 AM – Breakfast in the Great Outdoors

Start your morning with a hearty breakfast at Trail’s End Restaurant (or pick up something quick to-go). Fuel up for an active day with biscuits, eggs, bacon, and Mickey waffles.

9:30 AM – Horseback Riding at Tri-Circle-D Ranch

Head to the stables for a guided horseback ride through the wooded trails of Fort Wilderness. It’s a peaceful, scenic experience that sets the tone for the day. Kids not quite ready for the full ride? Pony rides are available too.

11:00 AM – Explore by Bike or Canoe

Rent a bike or canoe to explore the beautiful grounds at your own pace. The resort’s winding trails and waterways make this a fun mid-morning adventure.

12:30 PM – Picnic or Pool Time

Grab a quick bite from Meadow Snack Bar or pack a picnic to enjoy in the shade. Afterward, relax at the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool, complete with a waterslide and splash area for kids.

2:30 PM – Afternoon Wagon Ride

Climb aboard a wagon for a tour of the resort. It’s a leisurely way to see Fort Wilderness from a different perspective while giving your legs a break.

4:00 PM – Rest and Recharge

Take some downtime at your campsite or cabin. This is a good window to freshen up and prepare for the fun evening ahead.

5:30 PM – Dinner at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

Make your way to Pioneer Hall for the legendary Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Expect buckets of fried chicken and ribs, cornbread, and strawberry shortcake, served alongside laughter, music, and dancing.

8:00 PM – Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-Along

Bring your marshmallows for roasting by the fire, join in on silly songs, and meet Chip and Dale themselves. This family-friendly campfire is the heart of Fort Wilderness fun.

9:00 PM – Movie Under the Stars

Stick around after the sing-along to catch a classic Disney movie outdoors. Snuggle up under the night sky for the perfect ending to your day.
