A recent performance of Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade at Walt Disney World Resort took an unexpected turn due to inclement weather. Performers abruptly reversed course during a rare mid-parade cancellation at Magic Kingdom Park.
Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade takes place exclusively during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World Resort. It features Disney characters in their Halloween best, the iconic Haunted Mansion Grave Diggers, Pirates of the Caribbean characters, all following the Headless Horseman’s spine-tingling ride down Main Street U.S.A. However, this time, the not-so-scary parade took a truly terrifying turn as performers risked their safety amid a looming storm.

Weather can always cause delays or cancellations with outdoor performances at the Central Florida Disney parks. Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade is no stranger to weather-related adjustments, with previous performances being canceled, delayed, or scaled down due to rain or wind. However, the unexpected storm during this particular performance required a quick decision, and the parade was turned around to keep performers and guests safe.
A guest (@happally_ever_after) shared a video on TikTok showing the incredible professionalism of Disney cast members, who were forced to turn the entire parade around midway. Stage managers instructed Grave Digger performers near Liberty Square to reverse course and head back towards Frontierland. The video shows the talented Disney cast members seamlessly turning around, continuing to perform as they made their way down the route in reverse.

“I love this stage manager,” @cliffbillings commented. “Compands, clear instructions and a leader. A strong person because it’s not an easy job.”
“You can tell how much thought goes into the ‘uh oh’ plans,” @ashleye992 wrote. “They heard her and reacted immediately. Great job by all.”
