On Saturday, November 15, 2025, after a family argument at Magic Kingdom Park escalated into a physical fight while they were searching for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The incident was initially reported as a “Battery (Unwanted Touching)” call picked up on police scanners near Adventureland and Frontierland, but a new police report has now revealed the circumstances that led to the violent altercation at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has remained one of the most divisive attractions at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort since its 2024 debut. The reimagined log flume ride replaced the former Splash Mountain attraction, which drew inspiration from the 1946 film Song of the South. The movie has long been criticized for its racially insensitive themes, and the attraction’s connection to it was the subject of ongoing Disney Park guest complaints for years.
The Princess and the Frog (2009)-inspired reimagining was Disney’s answer to these concerns, but it didn’t end the debate. Some guests praise the new story direction and updated audio-animatronics, while others have expressed disappointment in the pacing, theming, and the absence of the nostalgic characters associated with Splash Mountain.
The attraction’s early months at Walt Disney World Resort were also marked by technical difficulties, including canceled previews, repeated evacuations, and animatronic figures stalling during operation. Even now, at least one figure is often observed standing motionless while the rest of the ride functions normally.
Fight at Disney World
Despite the ongoing conversations surrounding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, last weekend’s brawl had nothing to do with nostalgia or disagreement over the ride. The incident occurred before the family even reached the attraction’s queue, and the new police report clarifies that a dispute over directions sparked the violence.
On Monday, November 17, the X (formerly Twitter) account @WDWActiveCrime shared a redacted version of the police report describing the “Battery (Unwanted Touching)” call from two days prior. According to the document, two adult sisters, accompanied by their family, visited Magic Kingdom Park and arrived shortly after 7:30 p.m. While searching for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, they got lost and ended up “taking the long route,” which led to an argument.

The victim reported that her sister, identified in the police report as Tacquaya, “became aggressive toward her and struck her in the face.” Their mother attempted to intervene, but Tacquaya allegedly attacked again, “causing both of them to fall to the ground.” The victim told authorities that she held onto her sister to “prevent further injury.” Walt Disney World Resort security responded and separated the women until Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived.
Deputies noted a “visible bump” near the victim’s left eye. She received medical treatment onsite and stated that she did not wish to testify or pursue charges against her sister.
During her interview with deputies, Tacquaya claimed that her sister “became aggressive” and got “close to her face, which she did not appreciate.” She acknowledged that the argument “became physical” and that both women had fallen. However, deputies determined that Tacquaya was the “primary aggressor.”
Tacquaya was arrested for “Battery (Domestic Violence)” without incident and transported to the Booking and Release Center. As of the time the report surfaced, the victim had declined to pursue charges against her.
