Is Disney Getting Stingy? Latest Theme Park Ticket Offer Is Much Lower Value

Disney Parks fans searching for discounted Disneyland Resort tickets have a new option to consider, although this year’s offer comes with a noticeable drop in value. Costco members across the United States can now pick up a special two-day Park Hopper package that includes Lightning Lane Multi Pass access. The bundle provides guests with a way to bypass multiple attraction queues without incurring additional costs once they arrive at Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park.

Costco’s newest Disneyland Resort discount arrived last week. Theme park journalist Scott Gustin (@ScottGustin) posted a picture of the deal on X (formerly Twitter), writing:

NEW: Costco has revealed its latest Disneyland ticket deal. The $389.99 2-day Park Hopper includes Lightning Lane Multi Pass and is valid starting Jan. 8, 2026. Ticket expires 13 days after first use or on June 12, 2026. Park reservations required.

The package can be used starting January 8, 2026, and must be fully redeemed by June 12, 2026. Guests will need to make Disney Park Pass reservations, and once inside, they can start Park Hopping at 11:00 a.m. as usual. The second Park Hopper ticket expires 13 days after the first is used.

How This Discount Compares to Disneyland Resort’s Regular Pricing

Purchasing a two-day Park Hopper directly from the Disneyland Resort website for early January 2026 costs $415—and that ticket does not include Lightning Lane Multi Pass access. While the Costco version offers buyers a meaningful discount on the same ticket type, plus queue-skipping benefits, longtime fans will notice the value gap when comparing it to previous deals.

A Noticeably Lower Value Than Last Year’s Costco Package

Despite the decent discount offered by the latest Costco package, the big box store provided a much stronger deal earlier this year.

FWIW, the previous Costco deal was a much better value. For $449.99, you got a 3-day Park Hopper, Lightning Lane Multi-Pass, and a $30 Disney Dining card.

That deal not only offered an extra full day in the theme parks and Lightning Lane Multi Pass but also included a $30 dining credit, making it significantly stronger than the current two-day version.

More Price Changes May Be Coming

Guests planning future Disneyland Resort visits should be aware that additional ticket pricing fluctuations may be on the horizon. The Walt Disney Company has confirmed its intention to introduce dynamic ticket pricing in the United States, a system it has already been testing at Disneyland Paris Resort.

This model adjusts ticket prices based on factors such as weather, shifting crowd predictions, and other variables. Disney has not yet announced when it will implement the new structure at Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort, but the shift could lead to additional changes in how guests plan and budget for their trips.
