The incident unfolded shortly before 1:45 p.m. on December 10, 2025, when authorities received notification of an alleged grand theft that had occurred within Disney's Hollywood Studios. The account @WDWActiveCrime, which monitors emergency scanner traffic and law enforcement activity throughout the Walt Disney World Resort area, posted about the developing situation on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter:

Details surrounding the theft remain scarce at this time. Authorities have not released information identifying potential suspects, nor have they disclosed what items or property were taken during the incident. Because emergency calls related to Walt Disney World Resort are frequently directed to centralized dispatch locations rather than specific on-property addresses, pinpointing the exact location within Disney's Hollywood Studios where the theft occurred is not possible.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department occasionally releases incident reports connected to criminal activity at Walt Disney World Resort. Additional information about Wednesday's grand theft may become available through official channels in the coming days as the investigation continues.

This is just the latest in a string of alleged grand thefts at Walt Disney World Resort. Two days ago, law enforcement responded to another grand theft report at Magic Kingdom Park. On November 28, a similar 911 call was reported from the EPCOT Resort Area.

Should Guests Be Concerned About Safety?

Despite the law enforcement response on Wednesday afternoon, operations across Walt Disney World Resort continue without disruption. Guests planning visits to Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, or Disney Springs can proceed with their plans as scheduled.

Walt Disney World Resort security teams work closely with local law enforcement to handle reported incidents discreetly and efficiently, minimizing any potential impact on the guest experience. Wednesday's theft response appears consistent with this established protocol, with park operations maintaining their normal flow throughout the afternoon.

Visitors who encounter law enforcement personnel, security barricades, or any restricted areas during their Disney vacation should follow all instructions provided by Orange County deputies or Disney cast members. Avoiding blocked-off sections and cooperating with authorities helps ensure everyone's safety while allowing security teams to address situations effectively.
