Although the updates were shared quietly, they’re already shaping how guests plan for future trips. At Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, the Surfboard Bay Pool and kiddie pool will close from January through late April 2026. These pools are a significant draw for guests staying at the resort.
Disney has stated that swimming options will still be available. The Grand Slam Leisure Pool at All-Star Sports remains open, and guests can also visit pools at All-Star Music and All-Star Movies. That includes multiple feature pools and kiddie pools across the All-Star complex. While options exist, they may require extra walking or planning.
Bay Lake Tower Guests Share Pool Space
Guests staying at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will also be affected in early 2026. The Bay Cove Pool will close from January 26 through early May. During that time, the Cove Bar, water play area, and whirlpool spa at Bay Lake Tower will be unavailable.
Disney has confirmed that guests can still use the Bay Lake Pool and the Contemporary’s main pool areas. While this keeps swimming options open, shared facilities could feel more crowded during busy seasons.
Fort Wilderness Construction Adds Questions
At Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, construction around the Meadow area will continue through mid-2026. For now, the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool and Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool remain open, though guests should expect nearby work and possible impacts to surrounding areas.
Disney hasn’t announced any pool closures here, but the scope of the project has raised questions about future access. Once complete, the area is expected to feature a new zero-entry pool, a redesigned deck, and additional recreational courts, offering a distinctly different experience in the future.
