Disney canceled the Fantasmic! performance shortly after the police activity occurred, leaving hundreds of guests confused about the sudden show interruption.

Multiple Theories Circulate

Not all witnesses attributed the cancellation to the presence of law enforcement. Some Southern California Disney Park guests proposed alternative explanations involving technical malfunctions or cast member medical situations.

“We have been looking around and asking everyone what happened!!” @laurenandrews___ commented. “A few people mentioned that they saw Mickey go down.”

“We were there directly across from Mickey on stage, towards the center,” @j_unitmama replied. “We overheard a performance issue with special effects?”

The TikToker who posted the video insisted security staff directly connected the police pursuit to the show cancellation. According to their account, announcements referenced the disruption.

“The announcement even said we are sorry for the disturbance this MAN caused,” the Disney Park guest wrote. “…I saw the security guard run past me and the announcer saying ‘a man.'”

Disneyland Resort has not released statements addressing the Fantasmic! cancellation or confirming the police chase on Christmas evening. However, Fantasmic! has returned to its regular performance schedule. The show is set to perform at 9:00 p.m. on December 29, 2025.
