Splash Mountain's soundtrack echoed through Disneyland Park for the first time in two years when guests smuggled a portable speaker onto Tiana's Bayou Adventure. The group played original songs from the controversial attraction throughout their ride, documenting the stunt on TikTok despite potentially violating park rules.
Unauthorized Splash Mountain Audio Overlay

TikTok user @n8thegr88888888 posted multiple videos showing his party's attempt to recreate Splash Mountain during their Tiana's Bayou Adventure ride. The footage captures a portable speaker blasting “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah” as their log floated past Princess and the Frog (2009)-themed scenes.

A Two-Year Absence

Splash Mountain closed at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort in 2023, ending decades of operation featuring music and characters from Song of the South (1946). Disney replaced the attraction with Tiana's Bayou Adventure to eliminate associations with the 1946 film's racist depictions.
The rethemed ride follows Princess Tiana, Louis, Prince Naveen, and Mama Odie as they recruit musicians for a bayou celebration. Original cast members Anika Noni Rose, Michael-Leon Wooley, Bruno Campos, and Jenifer Lewis provided voice work for advanced audio-animatronics populating the attraction.
Magic Kingdom Park's Tiana's Bayou Adventure opened in June 2024. Disneyland Park's version debuted in November 2024. Splash Mountain music hadn't been played at the California park for approximately two years until this group's speaker stunt.
Social Media Users React

Disney Parks fans were divided sharply over the guests' actions. Supporters praised them for temporarily resurrecting Splash Mountain.
“Splash was sooooooo much better,” commented @randomtiktoc2. “Great work.”

“Let me know next time you go so I can enjoy the ride again,” wrote @dewmandrew.
Critics condemned the group for ruining other guests' experiences. Many riders specifically want to enjoy Tiana's Bayou Adventure as Disney designed it, without unauthorized Splash Mountain audio bleeding into their ride.
“That's how you ruin a ride for everyone,” stated @roxas255sora6.

“Yeah I would've most definitely threw that speaker off the ride,” replied kayia87. “Ain't finna ruin my Tiana bayou ride with that goofy song.”
The TikToker dismissed criticism with a three-word defense: “I made it better!”
