COVID-19 social distancing markers appeared on Disneyland Paris Resort's new digital map, suggesting the European Disney Resort may have used AI to generate theme park imagery from outdated Google Maps data that still shows pandemic protocols.

X (formerly known as Twitter) user @DLPReport shared comparison images showing Disneyland Park's updated app map featuring 2-D drawing-style attraction illustrations instead of 3-D renders:

Blue Squares Reveal Pandemic Leftovers

Eagle-eyed fans noticed unlabeled blue squares near “it's a small world” along Fantasyland walkways and in the ride queue. The mysterious marks turned out to be social distancing stickers from Disneyland Paris' COVID-19 protocols—still visible on Google Maps aerial imagery.
@RGameplayXtreme posted side-by-side screenshots showing the app map and Google Maps:

AI Generation Suspected

The discovery fueled speculation that Disneyland Paris Resort used generative AI to transform Google Maps imagery into the new drawn-style park map. @DLPTownSquare commented:
Oh. They clearly generated it with AI from google maps.

No Response From Disneyland Paris Resort

Disneyland Paris Resort hasn't addressed allegations of AI-generated maps or removed the COVID-19 markers from its official app. Despite the markers on the digital theme park map, European Disney Park guests will not be required to adhere to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines when queueing for attractions or walking around the park.
