Disney World Announces New Mickey Mouse Experience Coming in 2026

Walt Disney World is always evolving, but some things remain constant. Mickey Mouse continues to be the heart of the entire resort, welcoming guests into the parks and appearing in countless shows, attractions, and meet-and-greet locations. No matter how many new characters arrive from Marvel, Pixar, or Star Wars, Mickey still represents the spirit of Disney.

Now, the famous mouse is preparing to step into something brand new.

Disney has officially confirmed a fresh Mickey-focused experience that will debut at Walt Disney World in 2026. The update won’t change the character fans know and love, but it will introduce a new way for guests—especially younger ones—to interact with Mickey and his friends inside one of the resort’s most popular parks.

The upcoming addition centers on a lively stage production that will bring Mickey’s world to life in a new way.

A New Stage Show Starring Mickey and Friends

The new offering is called Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!, and it will arrive at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as part of a larger entertainment update in the park.

The production is expected to run about 20 minutes and will feature appearances from several of Mickey’s closest friends, including Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Daisy Duck, and Pluto. The show takes inspiration from the popular Disney Jr. television series Mickey Mouse Clubhouse as well as its newer continuation, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+.

Unlike traditional theater performances, this show is designed to be interactive. Music, audience participation, and upbeat storytelling will encourage young guests to get involved throughout the performance.

The story begins with Mickey and Minnie planning a party at Mickey’s house. When some of their friends don’t show up, the pair decide to set out and find them. Their journey eventually brings the whole group together for a big finale celebration filled with music and dancing.

It’s a simple story, but one that fits perfectly with the energetic tone of the Disney Jr. universe.

Part of a Bigger Animation Courtyard Reimagining

This new Mickey experience will live inside the Animation Courtyard area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which is currently undergoing a broader transformation.

The area will soon become home to The Magic of Disney Animation, a new space designed to celebrate Disney characters, storytelling, and animation.

When the project opens in summer 2026, several different experiences will debut together.

Guests will be able to explore animation through interactive exhibits and new entertainment offerings, including an animation drawing class hosted by Olaf, a gallery where Disney characters appear within animated artwork, and a theater showing the award-winning short film Once Upon A Studio.

An indoor playground inspired by Alice in Wonderland concept art will also be part of the experience, giving younger guests a place to play between shows and attractions.

The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse stage show will serve as one of the anchors of this refreshed area.

A Family-Focused Addition to Hollywood Studios

Over the past decade, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has transformed dramatically.

Major expansions like Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge introduced blockbuster attractions that draw huge crowds every day. Rides such as Slinky Dog Dash and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance have become some of the most sought-after experiences anywhere at Walt Disney World.

While those additions have been incredibly popular, the park has also leaned heavily toward thrill rides and franchise-driven experiences.

This new Mickey show helps balance things out.

By focusing on the Disney Jr. audience, Disney is creating a space that caters specifically to younger families. Not every guest visiting Hollywood Studios wants to tackle long waits for roller coasters or immersive storytelling attractions.

Sometimes families just want a fun show where kids can sing, dance, and interact with characters they recognize from television.

That’s exactly the audience this new production is designed to serve.

Mickey Continues to Evolve

One of the most remarkable things about Mickey Mouse is his ability to stay relevant generation after generation.

The character debuted nearly a century ago in the classic animated short Steamboat Willie (1928). Since then, Mickey has appeared in thousands of cartoons, films, television series, and theme park attractions.

The Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse franchise introduced the character to an entirely new generation of young fans. Its interactive format—where characters ask the audience questions and encourage participation—has proven incredibly successful with preschool viewers.

Bringing that format into a live stage show allows Disney to translate that same energy into a theme park setting.

Kids who watch Mickey at home will now have the chance to see him performing right in front of them.

A Summer 2026 Debut

Disney plans to debut the new experience when The Magic of Disney Animation opens in summer 2026.

Construction work tied to the Animation Courtyard overhaul has already been underway, with multiple permits filed for set installations and electrical updates inside the building.

While Disney hasn’t revealed the exact opening date yet, the new area is expected to become a major addition to the park once it debuts.

When it does, Mickey Mouse will once again be taking center stage.

For many guests visiting Walt Disney World, meeting Mickey is still one of the most memorable moments of any trip. With this new show arriving in 2026, families will soon have another exciting way to experience the magic of Disney’s most iconic character.
