A frightening scene unfolded near Disney Springs Monday afternoon as emergency crews rushed to an official Walt Disney World hotel following a reported near-drowning.

At approximately 2:22 p.m. on Monday, March 9, law enforcement scanner account @WDWActiveCrime on X (formerly known as Twitter) flagged an active police response to a near-drowning incident at an address on Bonnet Creek Resort Lane in Central Florida. The account posted in real time:

The location corresponds to Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, which carries the official Walt Disney World Hotel designation and appears on the resort's list of recognized “Good Neighbor hotels.” However, the property itself is not owned by Walt Disney World Resort.

As the situation developed, @WDWActiveCrime reported that multiple helicopters had converged on the area, including a WESH news helicopter and a medical aircraft.
