Only 19 Days Left Before Disneyland Paris Park Disappears

Someone was standing in front of the entrance to what has been Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris since 2002 this week and took a photo. The sign no longer says Walt Disney Studios Park. It says Disney Adventure World. The official date for the transition is March 29, 2026. That date has not arrived yet. The sign has already changed.

Jeff Gordon, known online as Gordongrubs, shared the image with a caption that captured the moment perfectly: “Studios park what studios park.” Three words. No further explanation needed. The park that has existed under that name for nearly a quarter century is already gone from the entrance, and the replacement is already there in its place.

Adam, a Disney commentator on X, added the broader framing: “It's March which means Disney Adventure World is officially opening this month.”

It is. And if you have been watching Disneyland Paris from a distance and waiting for a signal that something genuinely significant is happening there, a photo of new signage already installed before the official opening date is about as clear a signal as it gets.

Here is everything you need to know about what is ending, what is opening, and why 2026 is one of the most compelling years Disneyland Paris has offered in a very long time.

What Is Actually Ending and Why It Matters

Walt Disney Studios Park opened on March 16, 2002 as the second theme park at Disneyland Paris. It was built as a companion gate in the same way Disney's Hollywood Studios functions alongside Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, designed around a Hollywood behind-the-scenes aesthetic with Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror as its original anchors.

The park spent years operating with a thinner attraction lineup than its counterpart across the plaza, a criticism that followed it consistently through its early decades. That changed over time. Ratatouille: The Adventure arrived and immediately became one of the most beloved dark rides in the Disneyland Paris portfolio. Avengers Campus opened in 2022 and added genuine scale and ambition. The park was improving in real and meaningful ways.

But Disney made a decision that went further than improvement. The commitment to fully reimagine the park under a completely new identity, with a new name, new lands, new dining at meaningful scale, and a new nighttime spectacular, represents the kind of investment that changes what a destination is rather than what it offers. March 29 is when that change gets its official introduction. The entrance, as the photos confirm, is already living in the future.

What Disney Adventure World Is Opening With and Why World of Frozen Is the Story

The centerpiece of the March 29 opening is World of Frozen, and it deserves to be said plainly: this land has no equivalent anywhere else in the Disney parks system. Not at Walt Disney World. Not at Disneyland in California. Not at any other Disney park in the world. World of Frozen at Disney Adventure World is exclusive to Disneyland Paris and it is the reason that a 2026 Paris trip carries a different weight than it would have carried two years ago.

Frozen Ever After, the land's anchor attraction, takes guests through Arendelle. Anna and Elsa appear for character meets inside the royal castle. A daytime show runs on Viking longships within the land itself. The complete World of Frozen experience, anchor ride plus character meets plus live entertainment within one immersive land, is the kind of thing that moves Disneyland Paris from a European alternative to an actual destination in its own right.

Opening alongside World of Frozen is Adventure Way, a new promenade running through the heart of the reimagined park. Adventure Way includes themed gardens, seasonal entertainment, and 14 new dining locations opening simultaneously. Fourteen. The food and beverage expansion alone would be newsworthy in any other context. The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge is among the new venues. Raiponce Tangled Spin, a family attraction themed to Tangled, joins the promenade lineup as well.

The park's new nighttime offering is “Disney Cascade of Lights,” an exclusive spectacular projected across Disney Adventure World with original show content created specifically for this park. A new land, a new promenade with 14 dining venues, a family ride, and an exclusive nighttime show is not a rebranding exercise. It is a legitimate new park opening.

The Exclusives That Were Already Making This Park Worth the Trip

The attractions that existed before March 29 do not disappear. They become part of Disney Adventure World's full lineup and several of them have always been exclusively found at Disneyland Paris.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror here operates with three distinct storylines that exist nowhere else in the Disney system. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force pairs Iron Man and Captain Marvel on a hypersonic mission in a configuration that has no equivalent at Walt Disney World. Crush's Coaster, the spinning attraction themed to Finding Nemo, generates the kind of consistent wait times that indicate genuine guest demand for something they genuinely cannot get elsewhere. Cars ROAD TRIP, taking guests along Route 66 with Cruz and Sally before entering Cars-tastrophe Canyon, is a Disneyland Paris exclusive that has no version of itself at any other Disney park worldwide.

The entertainment at Disneyland Paris has always been one of the resort's most underappreciated strengths. Mickey and the Magician and TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure both run within Disney Adventure World at a production level that competes with the best stage work in the Disney portfolio globally. The “Disney Tales of Magic” nighttime spectacular across the plaza at Disneyland Park, projected onto Sleeping Beauty Castle, adds an evening entertainment layer that rewards guests who plan for full days rather than rushing through attractions.

What Is Still Being Built Behind the Opening

Disney Adventure World is opening this month as the first chapter of what it is eventually going to be, and that context matters enormously for trip planning.

A major new Lion King attraction is already under construction on Adventure Bay, a coming land within the park. The attraction will combine water-based thrills with next-generation Audio-Animatronic figures and music from the 1994 film. An Up-themed experience is also in development. The park opening on March 29 is not the finished version of Disney Adventure World. It is the beginning of it, and that distinction makes a 2026 visit simultaneously timely and a preview of something larger.

Guests who visit this year arrive at World of Frozen while it is brand new, experience Adventure Way and its 14 dining venues in their opening period, and do so knowing that the park around them is going to keep expanding in the years ahead. That combination of newness and ongoing development is a genuinely compelling reason to go sooner rather than waiting until everything is finished.

What This Means If You Are Considering a Disneyland Paris Trip

The photo of Disney Adventure World signage already in place before the official March 29 date is doing something specific. It is making the transition viscerally real in a way that an announcement date on a calendar cannot. The park is already something new at the entrance. Walt Disney Studios Park is already gone from the sign. The before and after exist simultaneously right now in a window that will close the moment March 29 arrives and the transition becomes official.

For anyone with Disneyland Paris on their travel list, the full picture of what 2026 looks like at the resort is worth knowing before making a decision about timing.

The Disneyland Hotel now operates as a five-star flagship with a park entrance location that has no equivalent anywhere else in the Disney portfolio. Disney Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel is the only Marvel-themed hotel Disney operates anywhere in the world. Seven hotels total across multiple price points give the resort genuine accommodation flexibility, and the 45-minute train connection from central Paris makes Disneyland Paris stackable with a broader France itinerary rather than requiring a standalone dedicated trip.

World of Frozen is opening this month as a global exclusive. Adventure Way is launching with 14 new dining venues simultaneously. A new nighttime spectacular exclusive to the park is debuting. A Lion King land is under construction for a future opening. The signs are already up.

If Disneyland Paris has been a consideration, check availability now rather than after March 29 has generated the wave of opening coverage that is coming. The opening period of a reimagined park with a new name, a new land, and 14 new restaurants is not typically the moment when availability improves or prices come down. Plan ahead, look at the hotel options on the Disneyland Paris website, and make the trip happen while the opening energy is still fresh.
