The Grand Floridian Cancelled Easter

Easter has become a cherished tradition for many Disney fans, particularly at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. However, reports suggest that the popular Grand Cottage may not return in 2026, potentially signaling a shift in Disney's Easter celebrations. Since its debut in 2022, the Grand Cottage, designed as a pastel treat shop, has been a highlight of the resort. It features spring-inspired desserts and elaborate chocolate Easter egg displays, becoming a popular photo spot for guests.

No Setup This Year

Easter falls much earlier this year, landing on April 5, and normally, that would mean Disney is already preparing the Grand Floridian lobby for its annual Easter installation, but honestly, there have been no signs of the cottage being assembled. According to reports, the situation remains unclear, with some employees believing the display may simply be delayed, while others say the Grand Cottage might not return at all this year.

One possible explanation involves the ongoing updates at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, with the resort having gone through several refurbishments recently, including a major refresh of the lobby, and honestly, during the 2025 holiday season, the Grand Floridian did not install its traditional gingerbread house due to the ongoing work, so the same thing could be happening with Easter.

Why the Swan and Dolphin Matters to Disney

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort is a Marriott property, but it's on Disney property, which is important to know, and honestly, between the massive egg hunts, unique beach setting, interactive activities, and nonstop entertainment, this resort is going to be a blast on Easter while Disney's flagship resort sits this one out.
