Main Street, U.S.A., at one Disneyland Park looks a little more crowded with construction walls these days.

Plaza Gardens Restaurant closed on March 31, 2026, and construction barriers have since gone up around the Table-Service dining location's footprint on Main Street, U.S.A, at Disneyland Park (Paris). X (formerly Twitter) user @DLPReport shared side-by-side photos on Tuesday comparing the current walled-off state of the restaurant with concept art of its planned future look.

🔧 Walls are now up at Plaza Gardens Restaurant, closed for a lengthy refurbishment into 2027 that will include roof work, facade repainting with a new color scheme and a refit of the dining room from the buffet to carpeting, tiles and chairs.

Walt Disney Imagineers are reportedly overhauling the interior from top to bottom — new carpeting, tiles, chairs, and furnishings — alongside a new exterior color scheme and roof work. Disneyland Paris Resort has confirmed the closure will stretch into 2027, though no specific reopening date has been announced.

Plaza Gardens isn't the only Main Street, U.S.A., location behind walls right now. Sleeping Beauty Castle is also undergoing refurbishment, with construction currently focused on the bridge portion of the structure.

That project is expected to run through the fall, and the special effects within the Disney Tales of Magic entertainment offering will be “modified” from May 6 through the end of September 2026. Whether the scope of the castle work extends beyond the bridge hasn't been confirmed by Disneyland Paris Resort.

While one side of the resort manages multiple active construction projects, the other is celebrating a fresh start. Walt Disney Studios Park reopened on March 29 as Disney Adventure World, bringing the World of Frozen, the Disney Cascade of Lights nighttime spectacular, the Raiponce Tangled Spin ride, and more to the transformed park. Work continues on a Lion King (1994) log flume attraction and Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings, an Up (2009)-inspired flying carousel slated to open in 2027.
