Disney World Replaces Italy Attraction at EPCOT, Effective Immediately

Guests visiting the Italy World Showcase Pavilion at EPCOT this week are finding a different performer than the one they might have been expecting.

For approximately the past week, Walt Disney World Resort has quietly swapped out Master Juggler Sergio, the Italy Pavilion's regular entertainer, with an unnamed acrobatic chair-balancing act. The substitute performers have been appearing without any listed showtimes on the My Disney Experience app, making their appearances something guests stumble upon rather than plan around.

BlogMickey shared a photo of the act on Facebook, offering a first look at the acrobatic performance that has temporarily taken over the Italian entertainment space:

Sergio is scheduled to return on Sunday, June 21 — which means Saturday, June 20, is likely the final day to catch the chair-balancing act in the Italy Pavilion. Walt Disney World Resort hasn't officially confirmed that timeline, but the math lines up.

The chair-balancing format isn't new to the EPCOT World Showcase. During the 2025 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, Walt Disney World Resort debuted “Acrobatico!” in the France World Showcase Pavilion — a show built around the same acrobatic chair-balancing style that ran Sunday through Thursday with multiple daily performances. The show marked the first time a balancing act had appeared in the France Pavilion since the beloved “Serveur Amusant” ended its run years earlier.

Whether the act currently performing in Italy is a preview of something coming to World Showcase later this year — or simply a gap-filler during Sergio's absence — hasn't been addressed by Walt Disney World Resort. The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival returns on August 27 and runs through November 21, 2026, and Walt Disney World Resort hasn't yet confirmed whether “Acrobatico!” will make its return to the France Pavilion or appear elsewhere in World Showcase during that window.
