Owning a piece of Disney theme park history is usually the kind of dream that stays a dream — but The Walt Disney Company is about to make it a reality for fans willing to bid on it.
The Disney Experiences Auction at D23

On Monday, The Walt Disney Company announced the full programming schedule for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center and Honda Center from August 14 through 16, 2026. Among the highlights is the Disney Experiences Auction — a first-of-its-kind event on the final day of D23, August 16, offering verified relics and artifacts from Disney parks and resorts to fans both in the convention hall and watching remotely.
The auction will be hosted by Disney Fine Artist Bret Iwan, who is also the current official voice of Mickey Mouse. The Walt Disney Company hasn't released a full catalog of what will be up for bid, but promotional images connected to the announcement hint at items tied to Walt Disney World Resort's 50th anniversary, the Haunted Mansion, Tomorrowland, and the Muppets archives.

“The Disney Experiences Auction is making its way to D23 this year,” Michael Vargo, head of D23, explained. “This is actually a place where you can go and bid on some finds from Disney Parks and Resorts, and you can take home a bit of the magic with you.”
How To Participate
Disney hasn't confirmed the exact mechanics of bidding remotely alongside in-person bidding on the convention floor. More details are expected to be released as the August event approaches.

The Disney Experiences Auction is one of several exclusive programming moments at D23 Expo 2026 this year. Other announced highlights include the Disney Rewind Concert and A Whole New World of Alan Menken.
