Countless ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Fans Will Get an Exclusive Version of the Film!

Spider-Man fans heading to theaters later this month won't all be seeing the same version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's latest wall-crawling adventure.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed that Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026) will receive a unique theatrical version in Japan, giving audiences there an exclusive addition not included in the standard release.

Two Versions of Spider-Man: Brand New Day Hitting Theaters

Feige revealed in a new promotional video shared by Sony's Japanese Spider-Man account on X (formerly Twitter) that the Japanese-dubbed release of the film will feature an original end-credits song titled “Brand New” by Japanese rock band Mrs. Green Apple.

The announcement means that audiences in Japan will receive a slightly different version of the film from those in other territories when it arrives in theaters later this month.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, and Justin Kuritzkes, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks Tom Holland‘s fourth solo outing as Peter Parker following Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).

Outside his solo films, Holland's Spider-Man has also appeared in Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019).

The latest installment picks up after the events of No Way Home, with Marvel describing Peter Parker as “fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn't remember him” after the reality-altering spell cast by Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) erased his identity from the memories of the people closest to him.

Returning cast members include Zendaya as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, while Jon Bernthal joins the film as Frank Castle/Punisher and Mark Ruffalo reprises his role as Bruce Banner/Hulk. The film also stars Tramell Tillman as Bill Metzger, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, and Sadie Sink in an undisclosed role.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day releases in the United States and Japan on July 31, 2026.
