Disney shoppers are seeing one of the steepest merchandise markdowns of the summer.
The latest round of discounts comes at a time when Disney vacation costs remain a major concern for families. Park tickets, hotel stays, food, and souvenirs can quickly push a trip far beyond the original budget.

That has made any Disney price cut more noticeable. In 2026, the company has leaned into selective discounts across tickets, dining, and vacation packages. Now, one resort is using a different lever: slashing merchandise prices to clear stock.
Disney Merchandise Prices Fall Sharply
Select Disney Parks merchandise at Disneyland Paris is now discounted by as much as 70% during Franceās official summer sales period.
The sale includes select items across the resort, which is home to Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World. The latter was renamed from Walt Disney Studios Park in March as part of the resortās wider transformation.
Some of the merchandise currently included in the sale spans homeware, Star Wars-inspired clothing, caps, and headbands. The reductions appear to target select collections rather than every item on shelves.

The deeper discounts were highlighted as additional markdowns were added during the official sales window.
Official Disney Parks merchandise is rarely positioned as cheap, especially inside the parks, where apparel, accessories, Minnie ears, themed homeware, and collectibles often come with premium pricing.
The sale gives guests a chance to buy select souvenirs at a fraction of their usual cost. It also gives Disney a practical way to move through older merchandise before more collections arrive later in the year.
The timing is not unusual for France. The countryās summer sales period is a regulated retail event, giving stores a set window to reduce prices and clear unsold inventory.

At Disneyland Paris, that has created a rare opportunity for steep Disney discounts inside the resort itself.
Heatwave Extends Franceās Summer Sale
The current sales period was originally set to run until July 21. It has since been extended to July 28 due to the recent heatwave, which kept many shoppers away from stores.
The same heatwave also affected Disneyland Paris operations. Several outdoor attractions were left inoperable, while costumed characters were removed from Disney Stars on Parade for the sake of cast member safety.
The resort is also approaching one of its biggest summer dates. On July 14, Disneyland Paris will celebrate Bastille Day with a brand-new, one-night-only nighttime show at Disneyland Park.

The show will feature drones, pyrotechnics, and Tinker Bell. Disney Tales of Magic will pause for the evening, while Disney Cascade of Lights continues at Disney Adventure World.
The summer sale is not the only official discount window that affects Disneyland Paris. Franceās winter sales usually begin on the second Wednesday of January and run for four weeks.
In 2026, the winter sales ran from January 7 through February 3. Like the summer sales, that period allowed retailers to clear older stock ā even at a loss.
The merchandise discounts also arrive as Disney continues using targeted savings elsewhere.
At Walt Disney World Resort, the 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket starts at $109 per day, with Disney advertising savings compared to a standard 4-day, one-park-per-day ticket.

Disney has also used dining offers to appeal to international visitors. For 2026 arrivals from the United Kingdom, children ages 3 to 9 can receive a free dining plan when guests book an eligible Walt Disney Travel Company room-and-ticket package with dining for the adults.
That offer continues into 2027. Guests arriving between January 3 and December 19, 2027, can qualify for free dining plans for all guests when booked before November 4.
Disneyland Resort has also promoted limited-time ticket offers in California. Children ages 3 to 9 can visit both parks for $50 with a 1-Day Park Hopper, while Anaheim residents have been offered $71 one-day tickets and select $59 evening tickets.
