One of Disneyland Park's most beloved character experiences is closing its doors next week. Unfortunately, the calendar offers no indication of when Tinker Bell will be back.
Pixie Hollow Closes August 4

Disneyland Resort quietly updated the official webpage for the Pixie Hollow meet-and-greet on July 27, confirming that the Tinker Bell character encounter in Fantasyland will close for refurbishment on August 4, 2026. Guests have through August 3 to catch Tinker Bell during her regular hours — 8:15 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily.
The Disneyland Resort operational calendar currently extends through September 7, and no reopening date for the Pixie Hollow meet-and-greet appears anywhere on it. Disney has not offered any explanation for the closure of the space, which sits between the Matterhorn Bobsleds and Astro Orbiter near Sleeping Beauty Castle in Fantasyland.

Whether Tinker Bell will be relocated to a temporary meet-and-greet location while Pixie Hollow is closed hasn't been confirmed. Guests hoping to meet her during an upcoming visit should check the Disneyland Resort app or ask a character attendant for the most current entertainment schedule.
The closure comes less than two years after Pixie Hollow completed a significant transformation of its own. The space was closed for nine months — from 2024 into 2025 — while Disneyland Resort reimagined a second meet-and-greet area nearby, converting what had previously hosted Tinker Bell's fairy friends into an extended queue for the main Tinker Bell encounter. Other fairies have not appeared at Pixie Hollow for some time.
A Possible Clue on Disney+

One detail worth watching is what's happening on the Disney+ side of the Mouse House. Disney is currently developing Tink, a live-action drama series centered on the iconic character, with an as-yet-unannounced release date. The Pixie Hollow closure may be tied to a tie-in or update for that project, but Disneyland Resort has offered no confirmation of that connection.
