Halloween may still be three months away, but Walt Disney World guests are already losing choices for one of Magic Kingdom’s most time-sensitive fall traditions.
Friday, September 4, has sold out for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, according to Walt Disney World’s official ticket calendar as viewed on July 31. It is the first September party night to become unavailable for the 2026 season, extending a string of sellouts that had previously been limited to August and October.
The development matters most to guests whose vacation schedules leave little room to move. Disney sells tickets for each party date separately, so a ticket for another night cannot be used on September 4. A regular Magic Kingdom ticket also does not provide admission to the event.
Still, this is not a September-wide shortage—at least not yet. Twelve other September dates remained available at the time of publication, including the month’s least expensive option.

Disney World’s First September Halloween Party Date Is Gone
September 4 carried a listed adult ticket price of $154 before selling out. September 8, which was offered at the same price, remained available when Disney’s calendar was checked.
Guests looking primarily for the lowest September price still had another option: September 1, listed at $149 for an adult ticket. Later September parties become progressively more expensive, reaching $184 on September 29.
That distinction is important. September has crossed into sold-out territory, but the calendar does not show demand sweeping through the month in simple price order. September 4 disappeared before the identically priced September 8 party and while the cheaper September 1 event remained on sale.
The calendar cannot explain why. September 4 falls on a Friday immediately before Labor Day weekend, while September 8 is a Tuesday after the holiday. That timing may make the earlier event easier to fit into some vacation schedules, but Disney does not disclose purchasing patterns or explain why individual nights reach capacity.
According to Disney’s official event information, tickets are limited and may become unavailable before the event date.

Eight Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Dates Are Now Sold Out
September 4 becomes the eighth unavailable party night on the 2026 calendar.
The sold-out dates, as of July 31, are:
- August 7, 11, 14, and 18
- September 4
- October 9, 13, and 31
Halloween night was the first date to disappear after general ticket sales began. Disney’s two lowest-priced parties, August 11 and 14, subsequently sold out, eliminating the event’s original $119 entry point. Inside the Magic previously reported on the disappearance of the final $119 ticket and the later August and October sellouts.
Opening night on August 7 later became unavailable, followed by October 9 on July 30. Inside the Magic documented both the opening-night sellout and the October 9 calendar change.
September 4 now widens that pattern. Rather than being concentrated solely around the least expensive August parties and high-interest October dates, unavailable inventory has reached the middle month of the season.

What the Sellout Changes for Disney World Guests
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party runs from 7 p.m. until midnight, with ticket holders permitted to enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 p.m. No separate daytime theme-park ticket or park reservation is required for that entry window.
The event provides access to seasonal offerings unavailable during an ordinary Magic Kingdom evening, including Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks, trick-or-treating, character appearances, and attraction enhancements. Disney’s 2026 plans also introduce a Tomorrowland masquerade featuring Stitch, Lilo, and Angel.
That makes the date itself more consequential than an ordinary admission choice. Guests who built September 4 into dining reservations, hotel stays, or transportation plans must now choose another available party night or skip the event unless they already purchased tickets.
Disney has announced 38 parties for 2026, running from August 7 through October 31, with standard adult prices ranging from $119 to $229 plus tax. Annual Passholders and eligible Disney Vacation Club members can receive a $10 discount on qualifying nights through October 2.
Guests still deciding can review Inside the Magic’s complete 2026 date-and-price breakdown and its recent coverage of Disney’s party entertainment schedule.
The practical takeaway is narrower than a season-wide rush, but no less useful: September remains open, though it can no longer be treated as untouched inventory. Anyone limited to one particular vacation night should check Disney’s live calendar before arranging the rest of the evening around the party.
