The Jonas Brothers are officially getting their own show on Disney again.
For anyone who grew up watching Disney Channel during the late 2000s, that sentence probably sounds familiar. But nearly 16 years after Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas said goodbye to their Disney Channel series, the brothers are returning in a completely different format.
Disney has struck a licensing deal with iHeartMedia to bring Hey Jonas! to Disney+ and Hulu.
The official Jonas Brothers video podcast will begin streaming on both services August 14, giving Kevin, Joe, and Nick another regular presence on a Disney platform.
The Jonas Brothers Once Had Their Own Disney Channel Series
Long before Disney+, the Jonas Brothers were among Disney Channel's biggest stars.
Their television series, JONAS, debuted in May 2009 and featured the brothers playing fictionalized versions of themselves.
The series changed considerably during its second season, becoming Jonas L.A. and moving the action to Los Angeles.
That ultimately became the end of the road.
Jonas L.A. aired its final episode on October 3, 2010. Almost 16 years have passed since that finale, but Disney is now putting Kevin, Joe, and Nick back in front of viewers together.
This isn't JONAS Season 3, however.
Hey Jonas! Is Coming to Disney+
Hey Jonas! isn't a scripted comedy. It's the official Jonas Brothers podcast, hosted by all three brothers.
The format gives Kevin, Joe, and Nick a chance to talk as themselves and offer viewers a different look at their relationship, careers, and lives.
The official description promises deeper conversations and a more personal side of the trio than audiences might normally see.
Disney+ subscribers won't have to wait long to see it, either.
Disney Is Turning August 14 Into a Jonas Brothers Reunion
The timing of Hey Jonas! arriving on Disney+ is no accident.
Its first Disney+ and Hulu episode will arrive August 14 and focus on Camp Rock 3 (2026), which premieres on Disney+ that same day.
Kevin, Joe, and Nick are all part of the new installment, creating another connection between their current Disney relationship and the Disney Channel era that helped turn them into household names.
More Hey Jonas! episodes will also feature the brothers live at Disney's D23 event that weekend.
Disney Is Making a Bigger Move Into Video Podcasts
Hey Jonas! is only one piece of Disney's new agreement with iHeartMedia.
Six podcasts are included, with Pod Meets World also heading to Disney+ and several additional shows coming to Hulu. Disney says the video podcast format can bring audiences closer to familiar entertainment properties and talent.
Still, few of those additions carry the same Disney nostalgia as the Jonas Brothers.
