Animal Kingdom is about to look very different, and Disney just gave us the clearest picture yet of what guests will find inside its massive Tropical Americas expansion.
None of these three attraction concepts are complete surprises. Disney previously announced that Encanto, Indiana Jones, and an animal-themed carousel would become part of the land replacing DinoLand U.S.A.
But at D23 2026, Disney went much further.
We now have official names for all three attractions, along with new story details that tell us considerably more about what guests will actually experience.
Encanto Ride Officially Has a Name
The new Encanto attraction will officially be called Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, and it sounds like Disney is putting the Madrigal family's magical home at the center of the experience.
The attraction takes place during the celebration of Antonio receiving his gift to communicate with animals. Guests will enter Casita and board vehicles designed to look like pieces of furniture magically assembled by the house itself.
Those vehicles will react to the scenes around them as guests travel through previously unseen areas of Casita.
Eventually, riders will reach Antonio’s room, which has become a sprawling rainforest. Disney says more than 50 animals will appear throughout the attraction, with Imagineers working alongside Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment team to make sure the wildlife is accurate to Colombia.
Stephanie Beatriz, Jessica Darrow, and Diane Guerrero will also return as Mirabel, Luisa, and Isabela.
Perhaps most importantly for families, Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto will have no height requirement.
Indiana Jones Heads Into the Underworld
Disney also revealed the name of Animal Kingdom's upcoming Indiana Jones attraction: Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent.
The adventure will replace DINOSAUR, but it will feature an entirely different story.
Set during the 1950s before Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008), the attraction follows Indy after he discovers a passage inside a temple leading to the Mayan underworld.
Legend says a massive mythological creature protects the temple. Unfortunately for Indy — and everyone following him — that legend turns out to be real.
Guests will encounter bats, scorpions, fire and, naturally, snakes while attempting to escape.
An Indiana Jones Audio-Animatronic is also reportedly being modeled after Harrison Ford, bringing another recognizable element to the attraction.
Animal Kingdom's New Carousel Gets Its Name
The third attraction is El Carrusel de los Animalitos, an animal-themed carousel designed specifically for Tropical Americas.
Disney says the attraction will feature 22 hand-carved figures based on animals from Disney and Pixar stories.
Rather than simply bringing a traditional carousel to Animal Kingdom, Disney is creating a version that fits the park's focus on animals and nature.
Tropical Americas Is Becoming Much More Real
Disney first announced Tropical Americas at D23 in 2024, but these latest reveals make the project feel much closer to becoming a real part of Animal Kingdom.
The land will celebrate the myths and magic of the rainforest while also featuring shopping, a Maya-inspired play area, and a large hacienda that Disney says will become one of Walt Disney World's largest quick-service restaurants.
But the biggest news is the attraction lineup.
Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, and El Carrusel de los Animalitos now officially have names, stories, and identities of their own.
Animal Kingdom's next era is starting to come into focus.
