Do Not Book an August Disney World Trip Until You Read This

Disney dropped the full 2026 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival menus today. Buried in them is a detail that will absolutely wreck somebody's trip. Six booths do not open on day one.

Some setup.

Look, fall at Walt Disney World is not just Halloween eating Magic Kingdom alive. It also means EPCOT finally has a festival again.

Anybody who has wandered EPCOT during one of those rare gaps between festivals knows exactly how hollow that park feels. No booths. World Showcase weirdly quiet. A huge chunk of what makes a full EPCOT day worth doing simply absent.

That ends August 27, 2026, when the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival opens.

Fans have been waiting on one thing to actually plan around, and it landed today. Full menus.

Which matters, because Food & Wine is not a festival you wing. Dozens of booths, hundreds of items, and a genuine risk of stuffing yourself with something mediocre before you ever reach what you actually came for.

The Six That Are Not Ready

Starting here, because this is the part costing people money.

  • Festival Favorites: starts September 9
  • The Wedge Hosted by Dairy Does More: September 18 through November 8
  • Coastal Eats: starts October 2
  • Earth Eats: starts October 2
  • India: starts October 2
  • The Alps: starts October 2

One specific dish at one of those places is your whole reason for going? Do not book August. You will get there and it will not exist.

Disney Dates and the Big Anniversary

Festival runs August 27 through November 21.

Long stretch, and this year it means more.

  • 2026 marks 30 years of Food & Wine
  • 30 items have returned or been reimagined from festival history
  • All flagged with a special 30th icon in the Foodie Guide

If you have been doing this for years, that lineup is the story. Several returns reach all the way back, including the Potato Pierogi from 1996 at Poland and the Dumplings Trio from 1996 at China.

Emile's Fromage Montage Is Back at Disney

The cheese stroll returns, and it remains one of the better structured things at this festival.

  • Buy five eligible cheese items from Global Marketplaces
  • Get stamps in your Festival Passport
  • Finish and head to Shimmering Sips for a festival treat

Eligible items carry a cheese icon in the Foodie Guide and are scattered all over, so it forces you to actually walk World Showcase.

One Practical Disney Move

Disney Gift Card wristlets are back with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

  • $15 minimum activation
  • Sold at merchandise locations throughout EPCOT
  • Works at Global Marketplaces and anywhere Disney Gift Card is accepted

On a day built around a dozen tiny purchases, wearing your payment beats fishing out a phone at every single booth.

Before You Go

Check your dates against the booth list. Six of them are not there on opening day.

And if the anniversary items are what you want, look for the 30th icon rather than trying to remember which dish debuted in which year.

Festival goes through November 21. Time is not the problem. Volume is.
