A newly reported Disney World Monorail narration on the Express line between the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) and Magic Kingdom now explicitly tells guests that vaping is not permitted aboard the train, while also replacing “host or hostess” with “Cast Member” in an assistance message.

There is also no verified evidence that the vaping language followed a specific onboard incident, health emergency, or enforcement problem. What is clear is that Disney has taken an existing resort rule and placed it directly into one of its most recognizable transportation spiels.
Disney World Monorail Narration Now Explicitly Addresses Vaping
The most consequential addition is also the simplest: riders are now directly told that vaping is prohibited on the monorail. Disney’s published Walt Disney World property rules already state that tobacco, e-cigarettes, and other products producing vapor or smoke may be used only in designated outdoor smoking areas. Disney’s FAQ likewise says smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated smoking locations.
In other words, the reported audio update does not establish a new resort-wide vaping ban. It puts a more specific reminder in the place where guests need to hear it: aboard the train itself.

One familiar phrase reportedly remains. “Ladies and gentlemen” is still used in the Express Monorail narration, meaning the newly observed recording is not simply a wholesale removal of every older form of address.
