The 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine opens tomorrow. Six pieces of it do not.

Look, EPCOT has been quiet all summer, and it has been kind of great. Open promenade. Actual short lines. Pavilions are getting to be pavilions instead of scenery behind a kiosk.
Some guests treasure that. Others call it a dead park with nothing to do.
Either way, it is over in a few hours.
The 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival kicks off tomorrow, August 27, and runs through November 21. Nearly three months of Global Marketplaces, live music, and crowds pouring back into a park that has been coasting.
Tomorrow morning, EPCOT becomes a completely different place. But before you build a whole day around it, read this next part.
The Six That Are Missing Tomorrow
Every single year, people get burned by this. The festival opens tomorrow. The festival is not complete tomorrow.
Here is what shows up later:

- The Wedge Hosted by Dairy Does More at CommuniCore Hall, September 18 through November 8
- Coastal Eats, October 2
- Earth Eats, October 2
- India, October 2
- The Alps, October 2
Four of those are more than a month out from opening day.
So if you had your heart set on the Chicken Tikka Masala at India, the Tartiflette at The Alps, the Seafood Pot Pie at Coastal Eats, or the Red Wine-braised Beef Short Rib at Earth Eats, tomorrow is not the day.
Thirty Years of This
Big one this year. The 2026 festival marks 30 years of Food & Wine at EPCOT.
And Disney actually put the anniversary in the food instead of just slapping it on a t-shirt. Thirty items across the festival have returned or been reimagined, each marked with a 30th icon in the Foodie Guide.
Some pull from seriously deep in the vault. The Potato Pierogi at Festival Favorites debuted in 1996. Same year as the Dumplings Trio at China, the Apple Strudel at Germany, the Spicy Temaki Hand Roll at Japan, and the Trio d'Escargots at France. The Ras el Hanout Cauliflower Bowl at Tangierine Café dates back to 2003.
If you have been doing this festival for decades, that is a legitimate reason to go hunting instead of just eating whatever is closest.
What You Actually Can Get Tomorrow
A lot, to be fair.
World Showcase opens with Australia, Mexico, China, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, Greece, Belgium, Brazil, France, Canada, and Hawai'i, plus Refreshment Outpost and Tangierine Café.
Over in World Celebration and World Nature, you have Brew-Wing Lab at the Odyssey, Gyozas of the Galaxy, Flavors from Fire, and The Fry Basket.
Walkway booths are live too. Bramblewood Bites, Milled & Mulled, Forest & Field, Swirled Showcase, and Shimmering Sips.
New stuff worth chasing on day one:
- Basil Pesto Chicken Dumplings at Gyozas of the Galaxy
- Smoked Brisket and Cheddar Melt at Hops & Barley
- Wiener Schnitzel at Germany
- Tostada de Osso Buco at Mexico
- Moqueca de Camarão at Brazil
And the Pumpkin-Mascarpone Ravioli at Forest & Field is open from day one, which is going to matter to a lot of people. Nothing else on this menu gets asked about more.
Fromage Montage Is Back
Same deal as always. Buy five qualifying cheese items from participating Global Marketplaces, collect the stamps in your Festival Passport, and take it to Shimmering Sips for a treat.
One catch, if you were planning to knock it out in August. The Wedge carries several qualifying cheese dishes and does not open until September 18. Still doable early, just with fewer options.

If you were one of the people quietly loving calm EPCOT, this is your last night with it.
Tomorrow, the kiosks open, the crowds come back, and this becomes the busiest food event on Disney property for three straight months.
I will miss the quiet right up until my first plate of Pumpkin-Mascarpone Ravioli.
